Multidisciplinary Primary Health Care Research Congress

A quota of rooms has been reserved for congress participants at a special congress rate. These hotels are located in the city centre and within walking distance of the congress venue.

The reservations will be made on “first come, first served” basis. The hotel fees include breakfast, service and VAT. All hotel fees are payable directly to the hotels.

You can book accommodation when you register to the congress. Please mark your reservation on the congress registration form . Your reservation will be confirmed together with your participation. Kindly inform Aboa Congress and Event Services ( of any changes in your accommodation reservation.

In the hotel your reservation will be found under your name (there are no reservation numbers). Please note that the check-in time in the hotels is 15:00.

Radisson Blu Hotel provides numerous guest services to enhance your visit, for example free access to a fitness centre and 3 saunas. After a day at the congress, enjoy a dinner at the hotel restaurant Grill it! Marina or have a drink at the terrace overlooking the river Aurajoki. Room reservation and cancellation conditions:

Reserved room will be held until 6 pm on the day of arrival. The hotel is entitled to give the room to another guest after 6 pm. If you plan to arrive after 6 p.m., kindly send your credit card information through our Secured mail system to Aboa Congress and Event Services to ensure that the room will be held until your arrival. You can fill in the information on the credit card authorisation form and attach it to the secured email. Note that the hotel will charge your card only in case of late cancellation or no-show.

A reserved room may be cancelled free of charge 2 weeks before the arrival (except in case of illness documented with a doctor’s note). The hotel has the right to charge the guest for cancellations made later than 2 weeks before arrival or no-shows


Turku Airport

Turku has an international airport and it is easy to reach by air via Helsinki, Stockholm, Riga, and Gdansk. From Turku airport, there is a regular bus to city center (distance approx. 8 km), bus line no 1 which runs about every 20 minutes. Tickets à 3 euro can be bought from the driver (cash, preferably coins).
A taxi ride to the center of Turku will cost around 20 euros. All taxis accept credit/debit cards. Taxi in Turku You can reserve a taxi at +358 2 10041. There are several taxi stands in the City center.

Helsinki Airport

If you fly to Helsinki, from Helsinki-Vantaa airport there is a bus to Turku operated by Expressbus (travel time 2-2.5 hours, departures about every hour). Another option is to take the new Ring Rail Line from the airport to Helsinki, to Pasila station, and change in Pasila to a train to Turku. At daytime, the Ring Rail Line trains between the airport and Helsinki run at ten-minute intervals at peak hours and the trip takes 22 minutes. Trains to Turku depart about every hour (between 5 a.m. and 8.30 p.m.). The trip to Turku from the Helsinki-Pasila station takes about 2 hours.


From Stockholm, you may choose to travel to Turku on a ferry through one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world. Daily connections between Stockholm and Turku are operated by Tallink Silja and Viking Line. The ferry takes about 10 hrs.
